Arnaiz has now got the extra netting up to control the foul balls, McNair and Louis has had extra dirt brought in, and there will be more.
The fields were prepped before every game, we had a THREE MAN UMPIRE crew for a title game (wow), chalk was seen on the premises, and VERY NICE coaches bags were passed out to the coaches that were in the championship games of the last survivor series tourney. In addition, all players and coaches were given those nice long sleeve shirts.
I have been a big complainer in the past about those tourneys. trust me, even as a member of the Grapettes coaching staff, I was complaining to those that ran tournaments about fields.
Once the rest of the dirt is down, the ONLY other complaint I would have is game times. Would like to see 90 minute no new inning, but not sure exactly how that would screw up game times. With larger tourneys, it might not be possible. But with smaller tourneys...... lets do it:)
props to those that have been working hard to get things done.... the improvements are undeniable.
