Do not take to much into this, it is a preseason poll. Only have 12 spots, write in your team if you like. Vote and if you want to, explain why.

You might want to add lady hustle and TC smash98, grapettes have 3 pretty good 14u teams as well

I still think the Sorcerer and Lady Magic are the top.

Everyone else is in the race to compete. With the PGF qualifier in NorCal conflicting with the Sparkler what teams will forgo qualifying for PGF all together?

The two teams you mention are already in PGF.

I am curious, did the Sorcerers get an invite this year?

You gotta love these polls. Parents always get butt hurt when their dds team is not mentioned, especially when it's in a negative light.

Take the Smash for example. Went from not being mentioned in the polls to now being 2nd to Sorcerers. Man that's like the horse being dead last around the corner turn & the jockey pulling a rabbitt out of the hat to make it a race. The jockey being the parents, rallying around their team calling each other up to vote. I'm just saying...c'mon let the games begin!

Your name says it all!! Usually when a team goes to nationals and takes 5th they should be mentioned in a top 12 poll!!
When your not umping at rainbow you should come watch some of these teams play!!

I think Smash 98 is a good 98 team but will have a very difficult time beating the top 97 teams. With Mello taking some of his younger kids up to 16s, I think AASA will have a hard time hanging in that top 3. Without seeing how all teams improved at tryouts, I would have to say that Sorcerers, Breeze, and Lady Magic are going to be the top 3 in that age bracket. But that's why the games are played...so all of this speculation can be proven.

I don't think the talent margin between a team like Tri County Smash and the Breeze 97 is a wide one if there is one at all. You have a couple teams from this area that can compete in the 14's in a national tournament and about a half dozen other teams that are knocking on the door. With there being the split ASA/PGF nationals those teams that are knocking on the door per say will find success in ASA nationals.

To answer the pole question the teams I mentioned before are the two. They have the track record. Other than them I know there has be a lot of teams moving from org to org and taking kids with them. I know Demarini is now AASA. There is a 3rd Grapes teams. half of the Hype 97 team is now Comets White. Breeze 97 reloaded with pitching. I'm not saying any of these teams will be the team to beat. It's just when there is a lot of team movement there happens to be players who move on and don't go with the team.

It's just way too early to tell. The younger 14 teams will have things figured out and then all of a sudden the age group changes with high school kids coming back to travel ball.

My comment on teams both going to the sparkler and trying to qualify for PGF was directed towards teams who have not received a bid. For instance the Breeze have on their calendar to attend a qualifier in Portland for the PGF since the Sparkler conflicts with the NorCal qualifier.
