14 U Metros

by 16U FAN » Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:43 pm

What has happened here? Where are the good teams? Seems that Metros and Nationals are on the way out. Premier, Western Nationals and Triple Crown seem to be where it's at. ASA better start paying attention. I hear the Stockton Metro is worse. Is Sacramento still sending two teams to Nationals?

The Breeze, AASA, Comets (white) and Grapettes have an easy road to the Final Four. The Comets and AASA should be a classic battle. Breeze should cake walk unless the Grapes find some new magic. Saw them in Vegas and can't believe this is the same team from Fall and last year's Foothill Gold. I have said before that I really liked this team and have tried to talk my DN into trying out for them. Now, after seeing them, I am glad she went to where she is playing now. Daddy Ball rules the roost with this team. I saw no unity, no coaching, no hustle, no spirit. That being said, even though the Grapes are underachieving, they still have as much talent or more than the other three teams I mentioned and thus can win the whole thing too. Breeze, Comets and AASA have veteran coaches who have been there and know how to work talent.

I am sad that so many great teams won't be there in Lincoln, however, it could be a real preview of 2013 with all '98 teams playing this weekend. Final prediction:

1. Breeze
2. Comets
3. AASA
4. Grapettes

See you this weekend!!!!

what teams are missing that are good in your opinion since these must not be...

I hope the above prediction is right. I do not want to play in regionals!

GoComets! I will follow you on Pete's gamechanger. You get a weekend off from my off the wall comments.

Lady Magic and Breeze 98 have PGF Births. Grapes Vasquez appear to be uninterested in ASA nationals/Western Nationals? To qualify for Western I thought you had to play in Metros?

Everyone else who has a chance is there.

Grapes Vasquez is still chasing a PGF berth.

Congrats to the AASA Applegate team for playing cleaner and having the ability to manufacture runs, when they needed to, in back to back games against a well coached AASA Harrison team. Both teams left it all on the field today good job ladies and coaches.

When you say Harrison team, Is that the same as Martinez's team or is there another 14 AASA team out there.
