Memorial Day 2013

by ICMTM » Tue Dec 18, 2012 10:38 am

I know it's early but which tournament is the tournament of choice? With AASA expanding from their 18G tournament to have all ages where are you going and why?

It seemed like ASAtournaments.com Memorial Day Tourney was the favorable one last year for most of the teams 14U and younger. The RRGold tournament offers the most games, but there has been complaints of how it's been ran. The AASA tournament looks to be a two day tourney, giving you the Monday off.

So...where are you going, or is there another option?

I think most everyone stayed home last year. I'd like to see that continue.

We spend the entire Summer traveling, the Memorial day allows us to stay local. We will be in RR as I like playing 3 days right out of the gate as we need those games to get going.

No sense in going to Sac, and no way going to socal just to play some meaningless games. Also allows us to see the local teams.

Fortunately for us, we have several girls still playing HS beyond Memorial weekend, so to us its a HOLIDAY weekend to spend with family, AND it allows a small break between HS and TB :D

We are going to RR Gold's. Better teams to play against hopefully. Definitely interested in more games as well.

We can't stay home to play so either way we have to commute....

Sac: No gate fees, Ice chests allowed, Fields dragged and groomed, Nice fields, Sac Area

RR: Gate Fees, No Ice chests allowed, Fields sometimes dragged and groomed, besides Arnaiz and the high school down the street the rest are ok, Stockton!

The competition is great at both....They are ran well....

With a family of 4 Sac is a no brainer for u$.... If we were local I agree with blue!

For us, the gas money driving to sac more than covers the gate fee in Stockton.

Fields are dragged before every game in Stockton.

ice Chests stay cold in my car in the parking lot.

Fields are not 20 miles apart in Stockton.

really, it just comes down to location. Do you want to be in sac, or Stockton?

Huh??? We played at Rainbow Fields two years ago in the RR Gold Tournament. Thats 20 minutes away from civilization! It seemed like the teams from Central California stayed with the RR Gold Tournament last year. Everyone else played in Sac.

I've heard for the Gold age group the tournament in Tracy is the best one to be in?
