2014 GSJSA J.O. MEETING

by slice » Thu Dec 19, 2013 10:31 am

As we are about to embark on another season of softball in our area, we are once again proud to announce the 2014 J.O. meeting for all “A” and “Gold” teams. At this meeting we will inform you of the ACE certification and background check requirements for all team personnel that will be on the field during games and practices. We will also address fees associated with ASA registration as well as the ACE program.

For the third straight year, this event has been very successful in attracting more attention to this important meeting, The GSJSA will again be hosting and playing “FRIENDLY GAMES” for teams in our association area to participate in following the general meeting. The games are free of cost, however will be limited to the first 12 to 16 teams entered. Your team will be able to play 2 possibly 3 games based on attendance. We will also provide lunch for everyone.

There will be a lot of information provided at this meeting, so it is imperative that all teams within our Greater San Joaquin Association area attend to receive this information.

The GSJSA board members are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Should weather become an issue this meeting will be moved to Saturday, January 18, 2014. Updates will be available on the GSJM web site: www.gsjm.com One coach/manager from each team that wishes to participate in the "Friendly Games" MUST attend the 9:00 am meeting.

We will meet at McNair Fields, 9550 Ronald E. McNair Way, Stockton with registration starting at 8:30 am and the meeting to start at 9:00 am. Friendlies will begin at 9:30 am.

If your team wishes to participate in the “Friendly Games” you MUST notify Bart Magellan by email: bartman@gsjm.com by January 7th. We will NOT be able to accept teams after that date.

Thanks to GSJSA for a great day of softball. It was nice to attend a event and not have to pay to get in. And to top it off, as advertised, lunch and drinks were also on the house.
