Does anyone find it strange that the defending Nat'l Champs Sorcerer are not playing with the top teams? At the main fields? Good thing Sorcerer only have one tournament in Nor Cal otherwise it would be a long fall.......

Looks like Oak Park is 18A. Who says it's thought of as a lesser division.

4 years ago Bob R called me up to ask if my team would play in this same tournament. I was goin got sit it out, and he needed a team to fill in to make his bracket easier. i said sure. He wanted us to play 16u, even though my entire team was only weeks removed from 12u.

3 days before the tourney I get a call asking us to play 18u because one of the 16u teams was really crying about moving up. It was free for us, so i said sure. I knew he wasnt going to put us against some super star 18u teams.

We went 2-3 for the weekend, losing 2 of those games by 1 run each. 18u, ESPECIALLY IN FALL is terrible. because even the avg 18u teams play "Gold" in the Fall. The rest of them are normally really bad that stay in 18u. Thus the oak park location. They should play Gold just to get out of Oak Park.

Actually Oak Park isnt that bad, it is just that you are out there by yourself and dont get to watch the other teams play.

I can be when i need to be. This is a forum that is all about opinions. I have no reason to sugarcoat things as i see them.

If what I say really offends someone, then it must be true. because if your kid were playing 18u and just got offered a ride to any decent D1 school, would my remarks upset you in the slightest?

Probably not, but if your kid is in 18u because they are not very good and cant get on a good Gold team, dont get pissed at me for speaking the truth:)

Does anyone find it odd that a Sorcerer coach would be complaining about anything right now!? Awesome job winning the Championship!! Now smile , and be happy! Kick the crap out of who you are playing, and say next!
