SDTitans Jonriv, thank you for the updates. I dont know if the Las Vegas PGF is going to happen. July 1st the State of Nevada is coming out with some new rules regarding Youth Sports. USAPreps moved its Stars and Stripes scheduled for this weekend to St.George Utah July 15-19 and PGF is still going to hold 100.00. I guess they heard the rumors of a class action law suit and changed their minds.

Many teams have been going to Arizona and Florida Texas to play the AVI Resort in Laughlin just closed its doors again until further notice and I'm wondering if Laughlin Casinos will do the same. Kingman AZ has been hosting Baseball and Softball Tournaments the past several weekends. I'm surprised at how many families are taking the risk. Its been a long 4 months keeping kids locked up and Baseball/Softball can do social distancing better than most sports but its the going out to eat thats risky..

Well I know some that ventured to AZ are now in quarantine since kids and parents came back positive. So the team and players are shut down until they are all test negative.

San Diego county paused all re-openings until August 1st, San Diego was one of the counties on a good track to actually allow games before Aug 1st. That is out the window now, so I doubt anything in SoCal will happen until at least Sept. I doubt anything in NV will happen in July. The Casinos don't want to be shut down and provide a lot more money than softball ball tournaments.

All the doctors and nurses on my teams in San Diego and Orange County have told me of the increase of cases in their hospitals and they keep being warned of getting more and more. The way the Gov runs things, youth sports is on the bottom of his list.

Normal Californians happen to appreciate Gavin Newsom, which is why we voted for him by a VAST MAJORITY, to be our Lt Governor, Governor and most likely our future President. Jesus said to know the truth would set you free, but that it might also sting a bit.

I am a normal Californian and he is a piece of shit. That is the truth and it has set me free.

100%

No, normal Californians hate the pelosis, browns and newscums. I have yet to meet an actual real Californian (born and bred) who would admit to being a donkey. Just tourists that come to LA to.work in media or try to gwt teaching jobs to indoctrinate our youth to their marxist ideals

Hi, fellow Californian here. I consider myself 50/50 Dem/Rep, but really hate that title, I prefer logical with old fashioned American ethical reasoning thrown in the mix.
Got an eyebrow raising fact here: Trump isn't a Republican. Trump is an opportunist. He's as much a Republican as Bernie is a Democrat (he isn't, he's an Independent w/ Socialist Democrat views).
Trumpists are something completely different than what Lincoln's Party had in mind. They're an insult & anathema to what true Republican virtues stand for. They're an apotheosis to Trump's Cult of Personality, Fascism aspirations, and willful ignorance to lead outside of his personal space.
Unfortunately, we as a nation need to realize Trumpists are within us, and they have as much right to go on this forum and BS their dumbfuckery as the protesters do to go head to head with and oppressive arm of authority.
Best thing to do is ignore it all, listen to the Professionals who are looking at data and models, and help stop this Pandemic so our kids can go back to playing sports, families start scheduling vacations in September, and schools to resume instruction at campus.
I give you 2 months. 2 Months! Can we do it? I think so. Stop this BS back 'n forth. We're spinning our wheels and going nowhere fast.
Have a good rest of your Tuesday :-)

Its not factual.....Ok....This is a Softball Forum/Thread so unless you want to discuss PGF News here please start the political discussions elsewhere. Many of us are looking for answers regarding PGF and TCS as to why they are keeping tournament money when the decisions not to play isnt because they have a player or two hurt and cant compete, but we have been shutdown because of Covid.. I dont see anywhere in their contracts that say they can keep monies due to pandemics and or natural disasters. Do any of you?

Just got this email from PGF

Hi Coaches

We are working on issuing credits for the canceled qualifiers that you had registered for and applying them to your PGF Nationals Entry Fee.

We will be issuing a credit for the paid qualifier entry fee LESS $100 for each qualifier.

In order to do this, I will need each of you to go to your Member Account Home Page - click on Register Now - Click on Nationals - select your appropriate week - and then follow the prompts until you get to the Payment Method. Please select Pay By Check/Pay Later.

What this will do is register you for the event and show your balance of $2550.

Our accounting department can then apply your credits from the canceled qualifiers. Depending on the amount of credits, you will then need to pay the remaining balance which will show on your main page of your Member Account Home page. We will NOT accept checks - you will need to pay any remaining balance with a CC.

If your credits are more than the $2550, then the accounting department will issue the remaining owed balance back to your credit card on file.

Please register your team for Nationals immediately so that we can get to work on your credits.

If you have any questions or need any assistance, feel free to call or email me and I will walk you through it.

For National Qualifiers the refund policy states only that you will not receive a refund if you drop from a tournament after the deadline (the deadlines are not defined on the refund page). Unless there are other rules that you agree to when signing up for the tournament then the expectation would be that you receive a full refund for a cancelled tournament because you did not receive the services you paid for.

For the National Championship the refund policy states that there are no refunds after 3/1/2020. To me this clearly means that it is in PGFs best financial interests for you to apply your national qualifier money (from the cancelled qualifiers) to the National Championship so that when that gets cancelled you don't get your money back.

Anyone with a brain can tell that the likelihood of the PGF National Championship happening is slim to none. We are just about 1 month away and OC is experiencing record numbers. How does anyone expect that we will reach phase 4 before then? Possible? Maybe... but not likely.

Long story short, per PGFs printed policies (on the website) they did not reserve the right to keep $100 of qualifier entry fees. Nor did they reserve the right to return that to you in the form of a credit towards the National Championship. A refund is a repayment, not a credit PGF.

Get your money back now if you want it back at all, IMO. If they aren't willing to give it back then it seems that you only have a leg to stand on in court if you don't apply it to the National Championship. Once you apply it to the National Championship you are agreeing to that refund policy, which means that your money is gone gone.
