With all due respect, justifying invites at 12U, outside of the returning berths, is nearly impossible. Players switch teams, coaches move up, or out of organizations, just too many variables at 12U and 14U to accurately determine who is worthy of an invite.

The Teams that got invites are really good teams. They have great pitching, hitting, speed and deep bench. Also they are well coach. Those teams are well deserving of a invite. Plus It give a chance to other teams to be able to Qualified...

Thats a pathetic BS reason. If they are any good, let them qualify.

JMO- invites should only be previous year top finishers and top teams from areas that do not have a qualifier

Wow, you all seem like you really know what you are talking about. Maybe you should quit complaining about what others are doing(with success) & start your own Organization. Then you can make what ever rules you want.

I'd rather be a smart one than a pain in one.

It's fairly obvious that some organizations (e.g CA, FC, OCBB, SCA) get an invite for any age group where they don't have a returning berth. I believe this includes some org's back east and it's just less obvious because they don't use all their invites. It seems the org determines which of their teams get the invite berths.
