I think it is more likely to read:

Judge: Did you not know that playing in 120 heat would be dangerous to the children.
Tournament Director: Yes judge, I received several emails from parents asking if we took the necessary precautions and asking us to move the tournament to a safer time.
Judge: Did you do anything to better prepare or to move the games to a later time?
Tournament Director: No; I ignored the emails because I couldn't get the softball fields scheduled for later in the day and I figured it was their problem.
Judge: Guilty; Child Endangerment
Tournament Director: Does this mean we will be liable for any medical costs?
Judge: Only if you get sued.

I know that Dan Hay says that it is the tournament directors responsibility but another option would be for PGF to add an additional berth which will reduce the number of games that need to be played which will in turn make it safer for the girls to play.

As is; there is a 5 game minimum in the winners bracket.

Time changes and number of games for Saturday are being looked at from what I have been told.

Hopefully they will have cooling stations set up- paramedics onsite would not be a bad idea either

I am sure common sense will prevail. Games aren't played in lightning storms or during hurricanes or with a threat of tornadoes and certainly should not be played in 120 degree weather.

I heard there will be paramedics onsite and they may be adding some platinum berths. Stay tuned they are working on it. Don't think a Platinum berth is a slap in the face. The platinum division will be as strong if not stronger than ASA nationals. They are also trying to make sure teams will not have to play multiple games in the heat of the day. They are trying their best but it is not easy. BTW the city will not allow the park lights to be on after 11:00 PM
