Las Vegas Qualifier - Dan Hay or Gary H. PLEASE READ

Questions and discussions involving PGF

As you may know, this weekends LV Qualifier is suppose to top 110-115 degrees. As a concerned parent, playing in such conditions poses a huge health risk. Regardless of what you do to stay hydrated or cool, these conditions are unbearable and its almost impoosible to play is such conditions, not to mention back to back if you are in loser bracket.

Three weeks ago we played in the LV JO Classic and it was a dry 105-108 degrees and girls were dropping like flies and I heard 3 pitchers spend the day in the hospital due to heat stroke.

My question to the Premier Team: Are you or considering having games played at night and/or early morning ?? I hope so !! We have played in LV and AZ before in simoilar conditions and the tourney directors took a safety stance and rescheduled... Games that were scheduled from 11am-6pm were scheduled at 7pm-2am (something like that)... As I recall, this was a huge success.

For the record, you guys have done a great job with Premier over the past few years and I would have to say, that if this could be accomplished, this would be another positive step for Premier. If it comes down to a cost issue for lights, I would think the safety of our players health should be first and foremost. Players and parents will adapt I'm sure.

BTW- I also emailed LV Tourney Director Mary Endsley.

1) Qualify somewhere else
2) Condition & prepare your players
3) Emails are on the PGF website
4) Don't be a troll

my advice would be to start drinking a lot of water right now, I just don't see how they can change anything, some parks or neighborhoods will not allow lights on after 10 PM
