Put the numbers out. I am all for PFG and all for the high level of play and all for having the best p;layers and teams who mostly are from the West Coast not have to travel to the end of summer event. And all for most of the best of the rest of the USA softball teams getting to go to California to determine the champions, rather than the southeast and desert places with 120 degree weather and no other reason to go to those places except for a funeral, But now you can't get players unless you qualify for PGF, you have to travel like ten years ago for ASA, you have to pay thousands more to do this, 18u which formerly was good for players who just LIKED TO PLAY SOFTBALL, 16u except for Myers was ignored, 14u was the steppingstone to 18u Gold, and so now that 2014 is over put the facts out. We don't know. Softball is evolving, and pretty soon, like beach volleyball in the 70's, the pro leagues will grow much bigger and lots of girls can make a living for a while as a pro. . But there are still a majority of softball players not yet in college who like to play fastpitch softball because it is A LOT OF FUN. Who don't have a thought of playing in college. Who are successful because they compete against other teams better than them. Many who want to get better just for their high school experience. I have no issue with PGF success, except that from my perspective, listen to The Who, meet the new boss, same as the old boss, we won't get fooled again. So, put out the numbers. How many players get signed from the time the PFG tournament started until now as a direct result of being in the event? Does it work, or is it an illusion? I hope the facts show it is an improvement over ASA 10 years ago.

It would be nice to know how many teams had to add girls to help them win.
