Actually, it is Penn's 2nd Ivy League Championship - first one was 1981. As H4P posted, it's their first NCAA berth.

Was somewhat joking to make a point. Many on HB will push how important it is to get intoo a good softball program with little or no regard for academics. My point was that schools like Penn have their priorites right- academics before sports. Penn will probably play some schools where that might not be the case. Penn will play teams that have played considerably more games than they have and have teams filled with athletic scholarship players(Penn does not) I was just making the point that there is life after softball and just perhaps(IMO) the Penn players might be in a better prepared for it than those that they will be playing
