And let's be honest...as long as Traina pitches like she did last postseason they will remain heavy contenders. It takes a team, but a hot pitcher can carry a team.

I think there is a California bias, but it is well deserved. There is a bias from coaches etc based on history and experience- it will take players(lots of) like Fico etc.. to break that bias.

In the long run better plays from other parts of the country will help the sport, but tough to beat California's advantages(weather, population, softball history, and softball infrastructure-coaches, programs etc...)

Just doing a quick read through, more than half of these players will be at the Mary Nutter Classic in Palm Springs Feb 21-24. Great weekend of softball.

It is definitely some high density softball. Can be a bit of a squeeze getting past the central building. Not really a bad seat in the house though. Lots of good spots to watch 2 games at once depending on the field.

I'll be there ... not that anybody gives a rodents rear!
