Va Tech held on to beat Michigan 3-2 in a thriller.
VT went up 3-0 with 2 runs in top 6th.
Michigan loaded the bases, VT brought in Heinz. Driesenga sac fly plates one and moves the other runners to 2nd and 3rd. Ground ball and first baseman makes a great scoop on a nasty short hop throw to prevent 2 runs end the inning. 3-1 VT.
Top 7 Hokies load em up, but Driesenga gets a huge strikeout to end the threat.
A large contingent of Michigan fans are on their feet chanting Let's go blue as the Wolverines hit in bottom of 7th. A one out walk then a fly to right bring VT to within an out when Amy Knapp, the nine hitter, laces a double to the wall and the runner scores making it 3-2. And then... A pop foul ends it.
Great game. VaTech is looking like the real deal, and Michigan definitely showed they came to play, good thing since the have Arizona State and Arizona tomorrow.

UofA 1 Michigan 7, Bowling threw great for 3 innings, but the 4th was not her friend, so Babcock now in relief! Unless the bats come to life for UofA, this one is in the books based on ERA's....
UofA needs to get all the Freshman in the line up and get them experience and start looking to next year! It's time we see Gabby hit a couple of HR's as a Wildcat!!! Only wish College softball was like the pro's where you could trade a player for 2 players to be named later, lol!!!!

Time to take UofA and ND out of the top 25 and give those schools outside of the top 25 some serisous consideration and stop giving these major universities votes that are not deserved!!!!
