I think Becky Clark makes more sense, but it would be the ultimate insult to the Pac 12 to lose Myers to the SEC.

Athletic scholarship renewals and nonrenewals are due by July 1, but are usually done while the players are still on campus. Did Auburn's returning players receive theirs and, if so, was it before or after the previous coach was dismissed?

I imagine verbals to both schools are anxious to find out their status.

ASU: 2014 Carlee Wallace, Johanna Grauer, Breanna Macha, Dani Nelson; 2015 Tannon Snow, Ciera Schick, Melissa Eisen, Aviana Davis, Taylor Blair, Monique Castillo; 2016 Zoe Marrott, Justus Perry, Sierra Blair

Auburn: 2014 Sam Glantz, Rose Schmidt; 2015 Mandy Jordan

That's funny! Clint leaves ASU a winning program for an average program. I'd have to say that's a very nice contract he had to of received. It helps that his son will be closer with the grand children living in Alabama and Corey coaching in the Birmingham Thunderbolts Org.
Plus Clint knows Escobedo is his only chance in the next 5 years and she hasn't got it done for the past 2 years in Oklahoma! I don't know of any Pitchers going to ASU in the next 3 years that are better than or close to Escobido, so probably good time to get out while on top! Good Luck Clint and the Myers family, will be like a family reunion!!! Something tells me the Wichita Mustangs might want to find another school to funnel the talent to, don't think Clint will be shopping there much, just sayin...

Clint states on the ASU website that his sons will be his assistant coaches. That's awesome! Auburn softball will turn around quick.

Auburn must have been pretty excited to get a College World Series caliber coach, but the cost is pretty high. Dad and two sons means 3 top spots are taken up by male coaches. It will be interesting to see how many solid women assistants they can attract. All in the family creates some interesting dynamics. Plus, when the dad retires, the sons better bring the results or else they will be out very soon. There are many examples of dads trying to entrench their sons in the head coaching positions. They often do not go well. High risk, high reward. It is really hard to go up against the Tide in that state -- but then again he went up against Arizona and produced a better program.
