Some interesting things I learned:
- * she didn't start playing fastpitch until her senior year of high school
* she was a multi-sport athlete playing baseball (!), volleyball, basketball and soccer
* she was actually a snow ski instructor too and credits skiing with helping her athletic development
* she met her husband, J.T. D'Amico when they were both youth baseball players
* his dad was one of her baseball coaches
* Coach Tarr presented a business plan outlining how they'd win a national title and that helped her get the Husky job
