I'm thinking of taking 20 dollars of spending money for every other day she doesn't call on her own. Do you thing that's too harsh? :)

When our last child left for college I cried so much my husband took me to the
doctor. After taking several test he told us not to worry, I was just "pregnant"
I think I started crying harder lol. That was 10 years ago

I vote for the app that has electric shock on their phone if they don't call at least twice a week ROFL

There is so much going on in her life right now so it's ok for her to be preoccupied. Coaches and teammates keep them busy to help them with home sickness. She is probably really trying to be independent and they sometimes do too good a job by not calling you everyday. Make sure you give her the impression that you are doing ok even though you are missing her a ton. Things will normalize.

Use Skype with cameras so you can see if she looks like Hell and/or living like a pig. Actually seeing her face when we talked was much better than just the phone. She seemed to like seeing the cat and dog when we held them up to the camera. And she got to actually watch the guy change the locks on the house. Now she's back home. Ahhh those were the days.
