Out here in our DII land, we have 10 teams in conference, we play every team 4x, ,,dd only has three teams left to play in her conference. Is mud ball part of playing back east?
I see further, because I stand on the shoulders of giants

ahhhh.... to answer that question of "mud ball"....the players WANT to play. Seeing them play in 36 degree weather with snow on the sidelines... yea, they WANT to play. Throw in some rain that appears to be ice. No big deal. Would the luxury of la-la land or San Diego weather be nice? Yes. But reality is reality. It's easy.... easy to play in good weather (in a relative sense). Would they like better weather? You bet. Doesn't stop them, though.

I thought so - I picked that card out especially for you and your love of trains.

As long as it's in a public place - I don't want you getting the wrong idea... I'm partial to Dewar's, but would give Booker's a try.

Your frequent complaints about NE weather makes me wonder if you also complained while in the Army about having to wear green. lol

DD's team is also nearing the end of their regular season - 5 DHs over next 16 days.

I made numerous trips to central Maine 20 years ago and learned they have an extra season back there between winter and spring called mud. It's no coincidence they have "mud rooms" to transition between outdoors and indoors.

Fortunately we got through the weekend going 4 for 4 with 3 being mercies. Solid play on all accounts

Saturday was rough, high winds and low temps. Parents had everything from sleeping bags to 8 layers of clothes to try to keep warm. Sunday....temps in the mid 60's under a cloudless sky with almost no wind. Great way to end the weekend.

5 DH in the next 6 days....
