Anyone else (besides Arto) see the odd play in Saturday's Utah @ ASU game at the start of the 5th inning? It looked like a basic bunt for single until the PU made a very unusual call.
...the Utah offense continued the trend an inning later when Urtez looked to have singled to lead off the fifth inning, but she was called back to the plate due to music still playing from the press box.
Field mic's captured PU on phone saying music was still playing, so it was a do over. I found it odd he seemed to allow the play to proceed instead of stopping it right away. It turned out great for Utah as the batter did better the second time.
ASU's Dale Ryndak would get two quick strikes on the Utah shortstop, but she later cranked the 2-2 pitch over the left field fence for a home run instead to give the Utes a 4-1 lead.
