It is good to see someone that is not only accepting of change, but embracing it. Good for her! Too many players would sulk or not even to play a position that was not "their" position. It is a good lesson to TB players and coaches to have players learn different positions. One of my DD's pat coaches had her play First Base(she was a catcher and outfielder) My daughter said "I never played their before" The coach said"After today you won't be able to say that" :D

Most of the times, some one choses "their" position the following way:

1) It was the one they were put in in Rec ball at 8

2) It was Mom/Dad's position when they were kids

3) You were the only one who could throw a strike at 10u

I've seen a college defense with five former gold and or college SS's on the field at the same time. Good athletes and good sticks find a way.
