It is good to see someone that is not only accepting of change, but embracing it. Good for her! Too many players would sulk or not even to play a position that was not "their" position. It is a good lesson to TB players and coaches to have players learn different positions. One of my DD's pat coaches had her play First Base(she was a catcher and outfielder) My daughter said "I never played their before" The coach said"After today you won't be able to say that"

Most of the times, some one choses "their" position the following way:

1) It was the one they were put in in Rec ball at 8

2) It was Mom/Dad's position when they were kids

3) You were the only one who could throw a strike at 10u

4) catch a thrown ball. Particularly relevant for F3.

I've seen a college defense with five former gold and or college SS's on the field at the same time. Good athletes and good sticks find a way.
