Questions and Discussions Regarding the College Recruiting process

by PairOfAces » Wed Jul 11, 2018 10:01 am

Not sure how this would apply to the new no contact rule, so I wanted to ask the experts (you know who you are  )

I have noticed that some parents of DDs (who are frosh/soph) are "friends" on FB with some coaches at D1 universities. Is this okay under the new rule? Does it have something to do with a coach "liking" a post about the DD and her performance/ability/etc? Any other problems you can see or benefits of doing this?

Any thoughts appreciated.

A coach can be friends on FB with parents or players and they can follow on Twitter or Instagram. They can even like images or posts but they cannot comment on post/tweets and cannot IM (this is a slight change for the old rules) the players or parents.

Does anyone “IM” anymore?

Are telegrams ok?
