Identifying Coaches at Showcases

My DD just attended a local college showcase and participated in the tournament portion of the showcase. Having attended a dozen of these showcase, I have become(I thought) pretty good at identifying college coaches watching the games(shirt logos, clipboards,recognized from web page photo) This past week end I picked out two coaches and we left somewhat dissapointed. Especially since several caoches had e-mailed us that they would be at one of her games. A day later and she recieved e-mails from several coaches (including some that did not e-mail) that they had seen her and wanted to talk. Does anyone have any other way of picking them out from a crowd- since obviously I missed a whole bunch!

Kind of like what they told me in the Army- How do you know when your recruiter is lying? When his lips are moving......

Go for the chummy ones...they are more honest

Don't always expect the head coaches to be there. Look instead for an assistant coach. If you want to know who they are, go hang out by the hospitality tent where they register and pick up their tournament packet. Always look for them where free food is served.
