So when you get the message that your player -- "had a great camp but didn't really stand out"....
Player attended college camp -- had a great time. Hit line drives, no errors in fielding drills or games, hustled, giving high 5s to teammates, talked to coaches. Overall she DID have a great camp...
But if your child is an IF...makes the plays she is supposed to make, hits well, etc what makes a player stand out to the college coaches.
Great Defense....hits over .400 for season in summer and fall travel ball and school ball as well....great attitude....what are we missing
I would understand if someone hit a TON of HRs, or pitched in the 60s or had a great poptime as a catcher or ran to 1st in 2.7 or less....but there are so many great players that are IF or OF, make their plays, hit the ball, get on base and score runs...but thats what they are PLAYERS ---so how to they become STANDOUT PLAYERS?
