I am sure that it was their first tournament and they were working out the kinks just like everyone else during the beginning of the season.

First of all I want to say I think the Travelers 95 are a great team and in the top 5 in Texas 12U.

I must also say I find had to belive they went to the Bomber tournament and decided the competition is so weak we will just play our pool pitcher and get some work in. It seems unlikely a team would travel 5 hours and spend the money to not try and win. Also the teams were listed several weeks in advance. If the competition was so week, why not just stay at home? It just don't sound right. I would buy the first tournament of the year and knock the rust off but not the "It dont matter cause its so weak" talk.

No you got it wrong. I am saying that they signed up for the Bombers hoping to see some decent teams that are NOT in north texas... where no A team wants to get stomped in front of their biggest rivals...to work out the kinks and get the players that provide depth time on the field. It sounds EXACTLY right. Not having to worry about where they placed because it was about prepraration. And not getting seen by the North Texas teams playing when you are not yet at your best.

In the past it has been said the bombers tourney was the starter for the season to see who was going to be the teams to beat... but those days are over. The place to play is in the round robins being offered in North Texas... more bang for the buck.

And just to let you know.....a lot of teams travel many hours away from north texas to avoid being seen or having to face teams like Glory when they are not ready. It is better to get your game ready playing away before you show you hand against the best.

South Texas always brings up money...our parents just pay when coach says to pay...go where the teams is scheduled to play and if you cant pay...do a fundraiser or play for a less competitive team that does not have that expectation. I bet you ALL THE MONEY IN SOUTH TEXAS no parent questioned team fees if they made the travelers team.

play4fun, I am pretty sure that 95 Texas Travelers have beat 95 Texas Glory. I remember watching Glory and I am sure they were Heat then, but I am positive that they beat Glory that game. I would also have to disagree that one or the other are better than eachother. They both have great defense's and offense's and they are both pretty equaled. The Texas Glory has one nationals which pretty much makes them a competition for everyone. They are both what makes other teams better. The girl are great friends, and I am looking forward to watching them play against eachother on the field. :)

I would also like to say that Texas Glory and Texas Travelers are both great teams, their defense and offense are both great. I am looking forward to watching them play eachother this year, and ready to see who will battle it out. I also like how the girls get a long well, and they don't let being on two different teams interfer with their friendships.

Ok Life's a pitch,

This is the last time I say this, "My kids do not play for any Glory team"!!!!

On another note, it will be a good game when your teams play. The battle of the best two 12U in Texas! (That was for the South Texas teams  ).

Now on the comment you made about them winning Nationals. That was a great team but in my opionion they are stronger than 10U. That was 10U... this is 12U. 12U is a different ball game. Teams and players grow and change; everyone moves from team to team and in the end they have all eventually played together.

BTW, I'm begining to think that the only person on the Travelers that doesn't have any hard feeling towards 95 Glory in Mr. Wizard!!!!!

Ok, off to work we go.

You know we need to stop making this a Glory Vs Travelers thing their both very strong teams. Alot of the girls get along very well with each other and are friends. They both will represent north texas well lets just hope that both of them are on their game come HOF time and end up in OK city. Alot of south texas teams may have something to say about who goes up north so coaches get your teams ready and lets see what happens next month.

I agree. This site has turned into "95 Glory vs. 95 TT"......and that is a shame. As you sadi alot of these girls are friends and that goes for most gorls and most teams.....whether they play for tis team or that team or "used" to play for whoever, they still remain friends and us as parents should praise that, because when it comes down to it the girls that play together may play against each other in high school.....and isn't that all of our goals as parenst to see our kids play high school ball and be successful and on to college.........
Rivalries are good but keep them in perspective......these girls (all of these girls) are friends, and me personally enjoy that my daughter has the opportunity to have friends outside her school and community......these are the friendships that will hopfully last.
I enjoy ready some of this stuff but do not comment that much as some of it is just crazy. I love this game and truely enjoy to watch all these girls play. Texas has some great talent, I can't wait to see some of them on the high scholl and college level!!! Good Luck!!! :D

The bombers tourney did not have much competition. I can guarantee they used it to work players into new positions and give there pool pitchers a chance to play. look after the Bombers... They are placing in every tourney. Bombers turned out to be nothing and they used it to shake the dust off.

What a lame excuse......everyone in that tournament was shaking the dust off. Also, I'm not talking about Central/North/South...........I'm talking about TEXAS. I'm talking about the fact......people on this board are WAY TO HIGH on this Travelers team. Ya, they'll be good, ya, they'll probably get a birth to Nationals......but they HAVE DONE NOTHING to show or prove they deserve to be first or second in this state. In the Bombers tournament they couldn't even get past another 95 team.......from what I heard.....they were getting it handed to them before time expired.
did not have much competition
so if they're soooooo great.....why couldn't they get past average 14u teams....if now they're knocking off these great 14u in the North. Hopefully the Traveler Team doesn't make excuses for themselves like some of the fools on this site. Glory 94 and Elite 94 seemed to play well??? They didn't make many EXCUSES!!! Second in the North.....maybe......I'm sure there are other North teams that would argue that......but second in the state.....GET REAL!!!! I look forward to the next LAME EXCUSE!!!
