Take Care , Stay Safe and hit em where they aint!

Time out!!!!!! So called "well Known teams" in a RR    . What you get at the Bomber Tourney is about 10 solid teams and 30-40 All-star or League Teams. It's a waste of time and energy. All the fields suck the parking sucks the restrooms suck and the umps suck need I say more. The Hammer is right the Bomber Tourney looks like a Hill Country goat ranch that hasn't seen water in years. The fields are a hazards to anyone that sets foot. The reason that the Bomber Tourney is so successful is because it is centrally located which draws every swinging yahoo from 150 miles with "a Team". Plus they get a little vacation on the river after they lose 2 staright. ;) ;) Like the Hammer said its not about the number of teams it's about the quality of teams. Rather play 7 tough teams than 40 All- star teams :o :o :o :o :o but not to mention we're going with our All-star team.

BFD!!!! The bomber has been there and will always be there so you should STFU and go back to your queer hole at FP Dirt!!

PROBLEM, the team my dd is on. is on the list of teams confirmed to the rh gig. when we ended the fall, we were told that we were going to bomber, my 2 cents are my family and i enjoy the quick getaway weekend to NB. we have all spring and summer to play all of the local teams. i think a huge tourn. can show you if you can maintain focus and consistancy over a long weekend of 5,6,7 or how ever many games it takes to win it. you sure will find out how much pitching you really have. so whenever our team gets back together for the spring i guess i can atleast ask, RIGHT.

What I would like to know is why the rh picked this date to have there tour. It doesn't make much since to me.you know the bomber is going and 2 weeks early the storm elite is having the same tour.with the same teams except for glory97. I would like to hear some info from someone from the rh.

I think Coaches and Parents alike have noticed a sharp decline over the last couple of years in the way the fields and facilities are maintained. So now it's not a priority to go. Like I said in the past posts it all about the money now. Some coaches and families don't won't to drive 100 plus miles to play against All-star teams and poor facilities!!!!

Its more about the faculties, last year it was bad ! To there defense it has a lot to do with the number of teams they are trying to let in ! If you don't have enough quality fields cut the number of teams ! Not the quality of where you play ! It looks to be nothing more than a money maker and not enough focus on quality ! This should be the first warning to TD that they might need to consider a change in the future of the Bomber ! ;)

Alright I kinda have been watching this thread for a while and have been somewhat amused at some of the banter back and forth. But I must address the last poster who stated this tournament is about the money! It is without a doubt about the money...over the last two years we have donated over $25,000 by way of this tournament to the American Cancer Society and its "Relay for Life" This tournament has evolved into what it is...an Annual opportunity to bring together Teams from all over the state and beyond and allow them the opportunity to play a tournament with alot of teams that they would not normally get to see , all the while raising a ton of money for a great cause!

I agree with you in every regard that some of the fields that we play some of the games on are not perfect....If I had my way we would get to play them on perfect fields , that is not in my power! But what is in my power is to do everything possible to make your experience here as good as possible! We are blessed to have as many teams every year that want to participate...and to call them "Rec" or "All Star" teams is disrespectful to all concerned! If you think your team is better then come on down and prove it on the field! I am sure all these Rec teams would have no problem taking the field and giving you a chance to prove what your fingers (Mouth) keeps saying! Or play in the Round Robin and have a good experience there! Either way I wish you luck in all that you do and may your season end with a great run at a National Championship!

I agree that the efforts of the tournament to raise money for a great charity is a great thing ! I commend you and your organization for such great values and giving back. What I am pointing out is that you are still providing a product for teams that are participating in this charity/fundraiser. If teams are telling you they were not satisfied at your tournament, and felt that they did not get there moneys worth, I would be a little concerned. If the goal was to keep the tournament growing in the right direction. I did not comment on the quality of teams that has no bearing on the tournament as far as I am concerned. Driving a long distance to a big named venue, you just kind of expect to play on quality fields that are maintained through the cores of the tournament.

I hope the Bomber has a great turn out and raises tons of money for your charity and your teams. I hope in the future the facilities improve so the tournament gets the respect from teams that are playing in it that it deserves. Good luck and have a great turn out ! ;)

By far perfect!!!! Like I said before there has been a sharp decline in the way the FIELDS have been maintained over the years. Been there several times in the past and watched these fields wither away. It looks as if these fields are not touched until the day before the Tournament. Maybe you should take that $25,000 dollars and sink it into the fields before some thriving softball player gets hurt and can't ever play again. When you have the players complaining you have ISSUES! If this going to be an annual event which has been proven to be, make some improvements with money raised then give to charity. How you make money is by improving something every year not running it in the ground. I know some things are easier said than done. On another note I didn't call all the teams All-star or Rec! Are there not All-star and Rec teams playing in this Tourney?
