What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

ZIG, I think you have a good list going there, maybe a team or two does not have a chance.I am starting to wonder what some of these "elite" players that these teams have are going to do in a year or two. Most of these teams have a weak Gold Program or not one at all. These parents need to start thinking about long term.
These teams have always been strong but will soon start to come apart as the players get older.
The Outlaw team will be interesting to see.History has not been good to strong teams that combine as one.

I know that Spring Stealth lost 4-5 players, looks like a revolving door program.
Sudden Impact seems to be getting stronger.
Kaos 95 will be very tough, along with TPS.
Will have to wait and see on the Storm Elite, lots of new players.
I am also waiting to see what Tx Hawks will bring to the table,Sneaky Snake said they had a strong tryout?? Hawks have always had a strong program.
Sting will be in the hunt if they can keep players.
Peppers 96 I think will end up average to a little above.
The rest I doin't know enough about to say.

Thats my 2 cents worth :)
If money talks,mine says goodby!!!

:)

Your implication is that players in organizations that currently have no Gold program should look to teams that do . Maybe I'm wrong . But if I am right I am curious to know why you dont think that TPS , Kaos , Phantomz, Coastal Elite , Bandits etc. cant continue on and develop their own Gold teams . I mean every organization with a Gold team had to start somewhere and beleive me there are plenty of teams proclaiming to be 18U Gold that these teams could compete with right now .Just curious .

Thank you, Underdog. What does any Gold team have to do with this 14u poll? Nothing!

Let the 14u people be 14u.

This type of recruiting to your Gold team by making people question their present status is disgusting.

These 14u teams are just as important as your Gold team.

Underdog,You are right about these large number of so called Gold teams. That has been a question on HB and talked about many times.Parents of elite players need to look where their kid will get the best chance of playing in college on scholarship if that is their goal. There are only a few Gold Teams that qualify for Gold Nationals on a regular bases in Houston.Their names are Nationaly known and create a buzz in interest with college coaches. Many of these teams feed Dl programs. These college coaches are in constent contact with these certain Gold Programs.I am not saying that new developing Gold programs can not get it done. They Can,but it takes a lot of persistent work on your coaches part and the parents part. Some think they know but most do not have a clue. There is no substitute for experience and people who are in the know.I would not want my kid to be the guinea pig,so to speak.

This post is not suppose to be here,I know...Sorry

Yes I think all age Groups are important, especialy 14u.Yes this has nothing to do with the poll....Sorry Zig but underdog asked.I wont say anything else ;) ;)

ZIG - The Stealth don't belong on this poll and the Hawks just starting up will need to actually do something before they should be on it. I'm not sure but I believe Bert's 95 Kaos may have already qualified from Southern Nationals last summer???

Also, regarding starting up a Gold Program from scratch. Good Luck getting to know the 100's of college coaches the others already know. By the time you get the contacts it will probably be to late for the current group of girls. Might work if you take a long term approach, but it will certainly take some time since the majority of your top players early on will look to go to the top programs to get noticed. Once that starts happening we all know the team crumbles. I would predict that 75% of the teams listed above not with a Gold program will be gone within 2 years.

There are alot teams out there that no one is considering. The Stealth has a good group of girls and some good talent. As far as the Hawks go you cannot base your decisions on an organization. Lets see them play first!! It literally amazes me how some teams can loose 4-5 players but it does not affect them but some loose a couple and it affects them ie:Storm Elite. I think everyone is forgetting a very strong team 2nd place finish at RM. Impact 95 has a strong team and has beat alot of the teams that are being talked up!

Just some thoughts!

You do not have to be on a team with a gold program when you are in 10 12 & 14s. Gold Teams have tryouts just like the rest of the teams do. If a player is good enough to make the team she will...even if she has not been in the organization. Gold teams have to qualify to go to their nationals just like we do, so they are trying to put together strong teams. There will be girls that have been playing in the organization that might not make the Gold team if there are other girls better than her. Have seen it happen!

ImpactCoach. Dan?? Chris?? read my mind. Which is sad and scary, but thats a whole other story. Impact 95 IS one of the better 14u teams and they are predominately 2nd year. The bucket klan needs to look further than the end of there nose for teams that WILL compete.

Zig thats a little tidbit of info for ya. 8-) 8-)

How about if you are able to keep your girls together , go play 18u Gold , take your girls to as many of the better showcases as possible and along the way consistently beat teams from the Gold Programs you are talking about . If the proper recruiters are being notified about your girls dont you think they will be "discovered" anyway ? If you're good and you're playing in the right tournaments , wont they find you ? This list shows the best teams in our area and only 2 of the top 7 have a gold program(that is of course w/out Impact 95 who does belong there) . Why are the younger teams from these programs not dominating every age group ? Contacts are obviously very important but you dont have to jump ship from a solid team to get a D1 scholarship. It can be done.
