Anderson Bat Q & A

What's on your mind?

Is the endcap on the new NanoTek FP still a bulletproof cap. I know you addressed it being black not clear but I did not see if it was a bulletproof cap. Also is the "Launch Pad" the entire grey area on the barrel or is that just graphics?
Thanks
Mike

The bulletproof cap alluded to the clear Lexan (polycarbonate) material used in bulletproof windows. The black cap is not the Lexan material but rather a polycarbonate blend. It is different and all by itself it is in some ways better but the biggest improvement is that it allows a new weighting technology in bats that need end-loading. You will see the introduction of that next year.

The launch pad is the same as the grey area.

My DD has the purple Techzilla and loves it. When you turn the bat upside down, you can hear something moving inside it, like something came loose. It's very faint and we don't hear it every time but it's there. Is this something I need to worry about? We are still under warranty for a few more months.

Thanks.

That slight jingling is usually just a little extra epoxy that holds the cap on coming loose. While the noise is a bit odd, it doesn't hurt anything. If nothing else is wrong, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

What about ASA rule3
section 1
A. The official bat shall be free of burs, dents, cracks, sharp edges, and audible rattles?

Well then we will fix or replace bats that rattle. it's not a very big problem unless of course you're the one with a bat that rattles.

Are there any other kind?

There are also inaudible rattles. But those typically go unnoticed.

How do you know there are inaudible rattles?

I don't actually "know", per se. I just sorta assumed (and yes I know what that means  ). I'm sure it's similar to a tree falling in the woods when nobody is around. Inaudible at all, or just when I'm not there?

This thread is huge, looks like Anderson might need their own personal forum.

What is going to be the difference between the Anderson RT and the Anderson Nanotek (endloaded) when it comes out this summer?

The proof is at the plate program gives you thirty days to try the product and if, for any reason you don't like it, you can trade it for something else or a refund. The program is done completely through a participating authorized Anderson dealer. The dealer supports the program (and you) and we support the dealer. You can't get anything through Anderson directly. So make sure your dealer is indeed a participant.
