"Reasons for NOT going to States?"

Your team sucks and you want to skip the 2 and get a head start on your BBQ.

Demonboy, you mustent be so mean I figure that when it comes down to it, you may think you have a good travel ball team, but when you face the best you crumble. You realize then that your only option is to go to TCWS and hope you can hang. There are some good teams that go from Cali and they are the dominant teams.(Cali. Teams Always in Top 10 at TC) The rest of the country is still playing catch up. Now that Cali teams that do go 70% did not go to states or any qualifier, just happy with TC Berth. The remaining 30% tried to qualify for Nat. but couldn't make it. I know quite a few teams that went from TCWS last year and to W. Nat. LL would go to both TWCS and Nat.
Bottom line if you can't run with the big dogs then stay on the porch!!
Don't cop out by saying we are not going bceause it's only 2 games. PLEASE!!

Triple Crown is a $900 Friendly...you play the same teams you played all summer...many times with the same umpires....Park City is nice and they put up with all the extra summer traffic...the younger divisions will play on some of the worst fields known to mankind....thats about it.

Teams are dropping out of our HOF qualifier just cause now its a 2 game guarantee. 45 registered, got down to 41, now up to 43. Guess the best of the best with the $300 price tag scared 'em away.

Its a great road to ASA Nationals if your team is oozing money.

No idea. Maybe someone from that age group can shed some light. From previous posts the # of 14u teams in SoCal State is way down as well this year. Maybe teams don't want to travel to OK. You can't beat the odds of qualifying for Nationals going through HOF.

Don't have an answer for you. Maybe teams feel confident that they can win local qualifiers with out leaving the state.

Hurricanes are going to the HOF for sure .

You can't get better odds to going to nationals than going to this tournament.
