Big smile on my face as our beloved player that took a ball to the face and missed the past 2 weeks looks like she will get to return this week. We just MAY have an entire roster finally:)

Wondering if "HEYALL" is hiding behind another screen name?

He sure has an OPINION about alot of teams that supposedly he has only seen for 2 weekends and Im sure he didnt see every game each one of those teams played.

And this is the first time he's posted? Hardly.....

Wow! Tough crowd -
No I didn't actally see these teams for the first time, it had just been awhile since I've been traveling and this was the first chance I had to see my daughter's team since high school got done. She played the last two weekends and these teams were at both tournaments. Is this a lot of teams to comment on? Considering there were something like 50 at the RnR tournament I don't believe that to be an accurate statment.

I have been reading here for a few years now - wanted to start commenting but it seems like you guys are often pretty critical on what newcomers have to say so I have always hesitated and just read. Figured I would give it a shot and I can see that I wasn't wrong.

Heard yesterday that Breeze 96 has now been allowed into the Sac Metro. From what I hear, they apparently did not get their $$$ into Stockton metro in time? Not sure what $$$ has to do with it (i realize that's a dumb way to put it!) since the rules really revolve around where the players are located rather than when money is due. Was it an intentional delay? Some other hidden agenda?

Not sure what's going on but Breeze seems to have gotten their wish, and this will shake up the 14u Sac Metro for sure!
Being from NorCal, what do I know anyway???

There is an ENTRY DEADLINE that is a firm date and has been for years.
3 or 4 years ago AASA 12u didnt get their business taken care of on time and were not allowed to play at the association tournament, so this is not a new thing for the Breeze. As a result, they also could not play at Regionals as playing in any association qualifier is a requirement for teams wishing to go to regionals.

I actually wish the rules would be changed, allowing long standing organizations to play in the association they have been in for years instead of worrying about where players come from.
The Breeze have been around for over 20 years and are out of Sacramento, so why make things difficult on anyone. Breeze teams should be playing in Sac, Grape teams in Greater San Joaquin, Force in Central Cal, and so on. Now if a new team forms, then they should play where the majority of their players are from.

JMO, which isnt worth much.

By the way, try to play in that national qualifier coming up in Roseville and get your stuff in late and see what happens.

Talking about the national qualifier in Roseville for 14U, anyone have a list of teams going there?
Wondering if some so-cal ones are making the trip.

Jeez, jumping the gun a little... SoCal State for 14U is this weekend.

The bottom 1/4 of the bracket is loaded with a couple of games between top 10 teams in the first round. There will likely be some quality teams making the trip for the NQ and/or the Regional the following week in Tracy.

How many regional tournaments are there? Just one? I thought you had to play in your metro to play in regional - is that correct? I also thought you had to place high in your metro to play in regional. What is the breakdown???

You must play in your Metro to qualify to play in Regionals. If I remember correctly, the top 4 teams from a metro that did not get a berth qualify for Regionals. If a team decides not to go, it is passed down.

Region 14 consists of Ca., Hawaii, and Nv.

So as of today, nobody knows who is going to regionals. Not until the Metros are done will we know.

Oh, There are regional tournaments all over the US. We are in regiona 14.
