From what I've seen, the better 93 teams in our area play up in 16U/18U and only play in 14s for State and nationals.

Everyone can talk about who's the best all they want. We'll find out at the hall of fame. No excuses, high school ball is over. Everyone being talked about is in this tournament, so we'll see!

I wouldn't make any predictions on who is the "best" from one tournametn. I think you can get an idea of who will be at Midland and who won't, but don't assume HOF decides anything. It didn't last year and it likely wont' this year.

Finally, a voice of reason! When was the last time a winner or for that matter a team in the top 3 at HOF won a Nationals title?

The HOF is a qualifier that has become a tournament of prestige for many TX, OK, LA and AR teams in the past, but it has not been a detimining factor in Nationals placement.

With more than 40 teams, too much depends on the bracket draw to determine who is the "best" from this tournament. Any of the top teams that fall into the loser's bracket in the first two rounds have a long, long way back to the championship game. It's probably not possible.

i think that it's pretty PATHETIC how PARENTS talk bad about specific 14U teams.
seriously, that's pretty low.
i hope it comes back to bite you in the butt.
& that whichever team that you're talking about, kills your daughter's team.

thanks

Well now that the 14U HOF Qualifier is over, here are some musings from the tournament.

The Fusion played like the real deal. Played pretty cleanly and getting thier pitcher back from the
State HS playoffs for Saturday and Sunday was a big shot in the arm for them.

Now all of you know what I was taling about before. The 2nd year 14's are back in town from High School and the 14U picture will be a lot diferent esspecialy in the big tournaments, ie the HOF, National Qualifier, State, Regional and National tournaments.

Would anyone like to reconsider thier "Top 10" teams now? If you pick with your heart, probably not. If you can now make a more educated opinion I believe that some of the "Top 10" teams listed would change. JMHO
