Is this typical (concerning calling illegal pitches)

Well, before our game with them Sunday, I did see her off to the side trying to work on it, going through her pitch in slow-motion, but when she was actually pitching, it was just like that pic on every pitch.

You would have literally called it every pitch until they took her out (probably in tears). I'm not sure that would be best, but imho she is going to have to fix it quickly to remain a pitcher.

A month or so ago, my daughter was doing something similar (although not nearly as bad, and not on every pitch). The umps didn't call it on her, but when we went to her pitching coach that week, I told him about it and we spent our entire hour and half lesson on fixing it, successfully thankfully :)

I would have called it until it was no longer happening. As far as tears go, I've seen batter's cry after striking out, but those tears have never stopped me from ringing them up if the pitch was a strike.
