Congrats to the Jets for winning the 14U ASA So Cal State Tourney

I will be back out at the 16 state tourney in 2 weeks.

What did you think about this tourney?

It was a long weekend but everything seemed to go smooth.

I was looking at the "top 3 14 teams" post, and I didn't see Jets or Wildcats in there.
Is this somewhat of surprise?
I know both teams are strong.

Great tournament in every way...

... even the umps did a good job! We had one calling strikes 4 inches off the plate, so we had our pitcher live out there and our hitters stand closer and look to drive the ball opposite field. Ump was consistent throughout the game so it never became an issue.

We watched a lot of games and anyone complaining about the umps probably lost and needs a lame excuse. Overall they were very good.

The competition was intense and exciting, the food was great, everyone from ASA and Minor's Gold was awesome... doubt it could have been much better.

Weekends like that make it all worth while. Thanks to all involved!
