questions about pick-up player

What's on your mind?

by 2bucketdad » Tue Jun 10, 2008 6:48 am

If a child is no longer on a team can she play as a pick-up player for different teams on a tournament by tournamnet basis or does she have to commit to a single team for the remainder of the season...and if she plays up an age division does that lock her for the rest of the season at that age or can she come back down to her age division?

Also what paper work does she need from her previous team or where does it need to go...

anything else I may need to know...

thanks in advance for any replies or info...

When my daughter was ten, we did nothing but pick up her first year. We was not a member of any team. We did this so she would get a lot of play time so she could improve her skills. We enjoyed meeting new players and parents. We did have a VTD card for insurance purposes. We live in the state of Texas. I am not sure of other states. Good luck to you and your DD.

If she is on an ASA Championship Roster whose team is still in championship play, she cannot play on another team also in ASA championship play.

Otherwise you can do what you wish...knock yourself out.
