You have 2-3 combined 2nd year teams (DI and YO, maybe KF) playing against first year 97's and a maybe some 98's). (But there are a couple of stronger 97's there, Hawks, for example). What do these combined teams gain from playing in that type of environment (besides a trophy)? Meanwhile, down the road at South Belt, there is a 14U tourney that looks to have a stronger field. Wouldn't you as a combined 2nd year 14U team be looking to play in a stronger field? I know some of the teams in the stronger field have beaten the combined teams, so is that the reason? Just asking....
Good luck to all...
Since we are good buds 3 monkeys, I will try to explain sir.

Definately not trophy hunting dude, but I am not surprised you would say that. One of the girls that play on the YO's team plays for Majic Gold and they are putting the tournament on. YO's felt is would be a nice gesture to play in their tournament, not to mention the TD put YO's on the list a long time ago and I am not even sure the Southbelt Tourney had the type of teams they currently have. Get my drift??
Don't know if you are aware of it, but the YO's turned down the championship game last weekend and let the 14U Aces play the Hawks for the Ship. Clearly not trophy hunting going on there. YO's are just trying to keep the ten girls in playing shape so they are ready to go when high school lets out and their 16U teams get going again.

I would be totally shocked if you are trying to say that any of the combined teams are skeered to play some of the stronger teams at Southbelt. You are just not that way
FYI - YO's pulled out of this weekend's tournament and are not playing at all. Do I need to explain?? Please advise.
