by bustos2000 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 10:15 pm

Bustos Elite 2000 had a strong showing in manteca this weekend. Finishing the weekend in 2nd place in the Big League of Dreams tournament. Posting a 4-2 record by winning against Salinas Storm, Salinas Magnum Force, Nor-Cal Elite and Cal Breeze. Only losing twice to a strong Manteca Mayhem team. Looking forward to playing you all again in the near future.

After a long delay of rain outs, and now a few tournaments in....does anyone have any input on 10U teams. Or RANKINGS.....it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.... :D

Most if not all local 10u teams will be playing in the Fresno Force this weekend. Good luck to all! Hopefully some updates will follow.
It's not how you start...but how you finish that counts!

Not all teams are in Fresno. Rainbow has 7 and there are about 6-7teams that are not playing at all. The top 15from earlier have changed in rankings. Let's hear it.

Here is my opinion.....but what do i know.....it's 10yr old softball it can change anytime.

1. AASA
2. Mizuno All American
3. California Breeze
4. Mayhem Fastpitch
5. Chaos Fastpitch
6. California Grapettes
7. Nor Cal Elite
8. California Crossfire
9. EC Hotshots
10. Tracy Titans

Let's here your opinion!

But, don't take it personal. They are all great competitors. All these teams beat each other up except AASA. They got alot more Talent... :D

This is nuts, are we really ranking, debating and fussing over 10U softball. This is the type of behavior that has stained the game. We (adults) have truly forgotten what youth sports are about and the lessons that should be taugt while participating in these activities. Unfortunately, as we get older we crave relevence. We seek praise just as young people do and thats what we are now using this website for. Lets get back to uplifting kids and providing an environment for these kids that is conducive to personal development.

The great ones that are passionate about the game will continue to get their do and their dreams will be realized.

Relax buddy, nobody is debating or fussing but you....Chill....It's an opinion. And it isnt ruining the game. The Game will continue to go on and girls will continue to play. Enjoy life and don't be so uptight. I know we all have fun. Parents, Kids etc. It's just to get a glimpse of who is competing. Have fun. Enjoy your daughters playing this game. They are all good athletes and i'm sure they all feel the same when they step on the field.....Fun Fun Fun.

Please .....relax....

If you don't care about being competitive or winning, why not just stick with rec ball?

This website is primarily geared toward travel ball players. Tball is by its very nature competitive where teams are ranked at the end of the tournament and trophies are given out.

Even the tryouts process where certain girls are cut or don't make the team is a form of ranking.

In travel ball, the best players usually get the most playing time on Sundays - and this is another form of ranking done by the coaches.

Teams are certainly ranked at Nationals, which is the ultimate goal for competitive teams.

There are lots of life lessons taught in Tball and one important one to learn is that your kid is not going to always be the best at everything. And just because someone acknowledges that a team is better, doesn't mean another team isn't good.

Fastpitch (like life) is about success and failure. Every game has a winner and loser. Even if you choose to ingore the results, the outcomes are painfully obvious to everyone else.
No courage. No game.
