If you don't care about being competitive or winning, why not just stick with rec ball?
This website is primarily geared toward travel ball players. Tball is by its very nature competitive where teams are ranked at the end of the tournament and trophies are given out.
Even the tryouts process where certain girls are cut or don't make the team is a form of ranking.
In travel ball, the best players usually get the most playing time on Sundays - and this is another form of ranking done by the coaches.
Teams are certainly ranked at Nationals, which is the ultimate goal for competitive teams.
There are lots of life lessons taught in Tball and one important one to learn is that your kid is not going to always be the best at everything. And just because someone acknowledges that a team is better, doesn't mean another team isn't good.
Fastpitch (like life) is about success and failure. Every game has a winner and loser. Even if you choose to ingore the results, the outcomes are painfully obvious to everyone else.
No courage. No game.
