Hey FP43, thanks for sharing your opinion. For what it's worth, I would agree with your ranking. However with 10u's, these ranking change almost on an hourly basis! LOL

This website is primarily geared toward travel ball players. Tball is by its very nature competitive where teams are ranked at the end of the tournament and trophies are given out.

Even the tryouts process where certain girls are cut or don't make the team is a form of ranking.

In travel ball, the best players usually get the most playing time on Sundays - and this is another form of ranking done by the coaches.

Teams are certainly ranked at Nationals, which is the ultimate goal for competitive teams.

There are lots of life lessons taught in Tball and one important one to learn is that your kid is not going to always be the best at everything. And just because someone acknowledges that a team is better, doesn't mean another team isn't good.

Fastpitch (like life) is about success and failure. Every game has a winner and loser. Even if you choose to ingore the results, the outcomes are painfully obvious to everyone else.

Very well put!

There was a really good tournament in Merced this past weekend. To bad it was rained out on Sunday. There would have been some good games on Sunday. Either way you want to look at it, playing to have fun and learn, or as everybody I know you are always playing to win. As Herman Edwards put it " You play to win the game". It is really fun to sit back and watch these little girls play their hearts out and to compete at their highest level. I see alot of talent out there, as these girls are the future of local softball. I will try to give my opinion.....but like somebody said earlier, this is 10u and it can change every weekend.

1. AASA...these girls are the best in this area
2.Mizuno All American
3.Ca. Breeze
4.Central Valley Extreme.....these girls are winning every tourny they play
5.Mayhem Fastpitch
6.Chaos Fastpitch
7.Salinas Magnum Force
8.Crossfire
9.Lady Canes
10.Tracy Titans

Honorable Mention in no particular order
Salinas Storm
EC Hotshots
Bustos Elite
Tri-County Smash
Ripon Lady Cyclones
Grapettes
RR Gold
Backyard Panthers

Hey Bucketdaddy! Thanks for sharing your opinions and rankings with us. I know there are others out there who have their own thoughts, and hopefully they will share them as well.

There was a very good tournament held in Reno this weekend as well. Unfortunately, Sunday's games were also cancelled due to bad weather. Some of the teams represented: Mizuno All American 00, Roseville Heat, Rocklin Hype, California Grapettes, California Breeze, Nor Cal Elite.

In regards to your rankings, I agree with you on the top three, however from #4 on down, I would rank any of the above teams over what you have listed...again, just my opinion.

You mention Central Valley Extreme is winning every tournament they play. I admit I don't know anything about them. Where are they playing their tournaments? To the best of my knowledge, they have yet to win a tournament in northern San Joaquin or Sacramento.

The Memorial Day Tournament held in Sacramento should be fun to watch as a majority of the teams in your ranking and mine will be competing there!

The one thing there is NO disagreeing on..."it's fun to sit back and watch these little girls play their hearts out and to compete at their highest level". Well said, BD, well said!

bucket daddy? Hmmm I do agree for the most part. But, I would have to agree with EYE on Softball It would be nice to see TiTans, Extreme, Force etc. in the bigger tournaments. Such as Fresno that just past or even Sacramento. Seems to look like they play the same NSA Teams. I wouldn't rank them that high just yet.

These girls do get out there tightened their laces and go for it.....Keep it up young ladies! 8-)

In all do respect to our great rankings of the 10's, the Lady Canes and force should not be in the top ten. These teams are working hard but not worthy of top ten, you could say top 20. You need to put the Grapettes and Bustos Elite in there.

I like opinions.

1. AASA
2. MIZUNO AA-00
3. CA.BREEZE
4. MAYHEM FASTPITCH
5. C.V. EXTREME
6. CHAOS FASTPITCH
7. CA.GRAPETTES
8. BUSTOS ELITE
9. TRACY TITANS
10. N.C. ELITE
11. CA. CROSSFIRE
12. E.C. HOTSHOTS
13. ROCKLIN HYPE
14. ROSEVILLE HEAT
15. LADY CYCLONES

IF YOU WANT TO ADD CENTRAL VALLEY TEAMS THEN THE RANKINGS CHANGE. ALOT OF TEAMS PLAY IN DIFFERENT TOURNAMENTS NSA/ USSSA/ ASA. WE ALL KNOW THE BEST COMPETITION IS IN SACRAMENTO/ SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY. BY THE JUDGE OF PREVIOUS TOURNAMENTS AND FINISHES THIS IS MY OPINION. HONORABLE MENTION TEAMS EITHER HAVE ALOT OF SPLIT TALENT FROM 2000'S AND 2001'S OR JUST HAVEN'T PLAYED ANY OF THE HIGHER RANKING TEAMS. ALL RESPECT TO THE TEAMS THAT PLAY IN THE FORCE AND SAC.TOURNAMENTS. THAT'S WHERE YOUR STOCK GOES UP WHEN YOU COMPETE AGAINST THE BEST!

BUT, AGAIN I PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. :D THIS IS MY OPINION AND LIKE TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THIS AGE GROUP. THESE 9/10 YR OLDS TEND TO AMAZE ME IN THE CALIBER OF THEIR PLAY. BUT THE BEST TEAM IS THE TEAM THAT DOESN'T BEAT THEMSELVES. (LESS ERRORS)....

HONORABLE MENTIONS.

T.C. SMASH
BACKYARD PANTHERS
RR GOLD
MAGNUM FORCE
SALINAS STORM
FOOTHILL GOLD
MVP SPORTS ACADEMY

Has any team in Norcal beaten AASA yet? Anyone given them any trouble?
