12U Hall of Fame Qualifier Predictions

Glad to see a tone down in the post. As I stated earlier, no team has ever won a game on a website. The RIP girls did a fantastic job on the field and deserve the respect they are getting, but a "congratulations and a well done" is the best way to do this. Making a bold prediction that they would have beat the champion IF they played, or that IF the umpires had not made bad calls they would not have loss to the Force in the first game only tarnishes what the girls accomplished on the field. As they say...IF frogs had wings they would not be bumping their butts on the sidewalk. The only facts are that RIP lost to Force in the first game, and won the second. By doing so, RIP earned one of the only two original qualifying spots to Oklahoma City for the Hall of Fame which a great accomplishment. They will not have to wait to see if any additional spots are given out to the Hall of Fame.

By the way, I don't think anyone in South Texas took RIP for granted. Those of us in South Texas simply had not heard of them until this tourney. This is more than likely because RIP has chosen to do their talking on the field as opposed to a website. They may have been taken for granted by those in North Texas that have had the opportunity to see RIP play, but not by anyone from our area. We only pay attention to what teams do on the field and RIP has our complete respect.

Once again, congratulations to TPS 98 and RIP for earning the two original qualifying spots that were available for the Hall of Fame.

Butter
Thank you for that. I can tell you that none of the STX teams took RIP or any other NTX, CTX team for granted. We were all there to take care of business regardless of past performances. Peppers were just as much of a sleeper as RIP putting together a fine weekend.

Consistantly winning will speak volumes.

12U top 5....3 NTX and 3 STX

1. TPS
2. RIP
3. Force
4. Fusion
5. Peppers 98/Glory Adkins

and 8 of the top 12 teams were from STX....

Great tournament and it looks like there will be some really good matchups in the near future since a lot of these same teams will be in WF in a couple of weeks for the ASA Nat. Qualifier.

Great tournment. A great week end of some very good softball from some great STX and NTX teams. Hey NTX why didn't any of you tell us about this RIP team. From the way they played this week end I would think they are your top team. How about them Peppers. Great job girls.
Naturally congradulations to the top 5 teams.
The top 3 STX teams TPS, FORCE and PEPPERS played well and deserve their good finishes.
I don't know what happened to the POWER and LEGENDZ. It appeared to be they were not, for whatever reason(s), ready to play against a fine field of teams.

What happened to good sportsmanship? Let's see...some 12U girls did not win a tournament so lets be the big bad adult and rub it in?

I've keep up with both this site and fastpitchdirt.com and I have not read one post by any of the teams you listed that would deserve this response. How about a congratulations to the teams that earned spots and leave the others alone.

Just out of curiosity, how did your team do since you do not identify.

Mr. Cates I do not believe anybody is trying to rub anything in or trying to show any disrespect. I know I was not. The teams mentioned were expected to do well, maybe even contend for the championship, and they did not. I did not see all of their games so I was wondering why ?? IF Tps, who won the championship and by all indications was suppose to, failed. People would want to know what happen. RIP, a team who came out of no where, while NTX was talking up Fusion and Glory no one is taking offense to that being talked about. I do not understand why you are so touchy about this.

Slaphitter: My response, as indicated by my copied post, was directed to TheGreatestOfThemAll. I did not direct anything toward you. That said, I still do not see the need to question why they did not place highly...seems to me the answer is obvious....they did not win when needed.

I was there, and if an answer must be given to the obvious, I would say it had to do with matchups.

Power lost to the 4th (Fusion) and 5th (Peppers 98) place teams by a total of 3 points. It has been established that the Peppers 98 had a great run in this tourney...they gave TPS a fight, losing by only 1 run.

Storm Elite had a great run in the Money Tournament, but that was one tourney. They lost to the Peppers 98 and Mizuno (7th). Mizuno has run into some tough luck this year, but are capable of beating anyone at anytime.

Rage lost to Glory Adkins (5th) and to Power (6th).

I responded the way I did because of the phrasing by TheGreatestOfThemAll ("especially the Legendz" and COME ON MAN) came across to me as taking a shot at the teams he/she listed. After all, I did not see the other teams listed that were expected to perform well.
