The one big thing you are missing is there is no year. Teams want a year so you can't just trade last years pin.

Hey Kingskid, do you work for a pin company? Grin..... It would cost us a fortune to have to redo our pins every year. We buy ours in lots of 10,000 and then replenish when needed to help keep the costs down. I'm just happy to find someone who has pins to trade.

One year in Toledo, one of the teams heard we had trading pins. They didn't have any so they ran out to the dollar store and purchased little star wandy things (12 for a $1 I'm guessing). The point I'm getting at is that it's about the the spirit of trading. Even though we didn't get their team pin, the girls where just so happy to be able to trade something with someone.

Hey Spaz, that's for the whole league so they only last a couple of years. Plus, it's mostly on the US teams that have them to trade, but they seem to be far a few between as we have only found a few who had them when we are in the states for tournaments. Any of the ones that we have seen do not have a year on them either. I do like the blinky's though.

Also, you have an advantage living in California, you have nice weather most of the time so you have better opportunity to control your costs. Our travels teams train about 10 months out of the year and we are required to rent batting facilities and gyms to work out in during our winter months. Ususally 1 -2 nights in the gym and one night BP. Anywhere you can save a bit of cash helps out.

How many pins do you guys go through on your team a season?
