PYLGSA Fury 10U B State Champs

What's on your mind?

by Rostok » Wed Jul 16, 2008 9:37 am

Thanks for the invite (I assume you meant me :-)). I'll keep an eye out for you all. Strangely enough at B Nationals 2 years ago with my older daughter, I had exchanged emails with someone from one other team (from Texas) and we ended up drawing that team in our first pool-play game. Would be funny if we got you in pool play. Anyway - safe travels and mine's a Boddingtons.

Rostok,
Yes that was meant for you. I'm the pitch caller and defense coach for our team, see you at the fields!

Scott - well would you believe it - looks like you're our first game ! (I figure whoever did the draw must have seen my earlier email). If not, quite a coincidence. Anyway, I'm the dad of one of the pitchers (number #98) so you'll see me warming her up.

Anyway, at least we avoided the 12pm games!

The pool play looks like it's really practice games since it has no bearing on the bracket itself in which we drew La Mirada. What do you know of them?

See you in Vegas.

Andrew,
Wow that's a coincidence! I'm definitely disappointed that the pool games are solely to suck more money out of us. Doesn't seem right that the Cali State champs might have to play the Cali state finalist in the second round of brackets! Oh well, everyone will have to deal with it! I'll say hi when I see you on Tuesday night. Safe trip to you and yours as well.

Part of the answer is that PYL and Corona use split divisions during their regular recreational season. The better players go to one division and the poor players to another. The have a quaisi travel/all-star program all season long.
