My DD is very interested in learning how to throw harder. She currently throws about 60-61 MPH. Her mechanics are good, but we both want to know how she can take it to the next level. Any ideas?

umm no. She is a 14u Tx.

60-61 is pretty good in socal, if you're playing 12u rec. though she would have a tough time making a 12u travelball team. just be happy you play in the second best state for softball, otherwise she would have to find a new position to play.

Nuvey Jr had a legitimate question and you come with that? If no one has figured this out yet, she's a catcher. And where are all these 12U/14U CA catchers throwing in the high 60's? Because from what I read from every NFCA and recruiting camp, Nuvey's DD is already above average. If you would like to research for yourself, let me know and I will help you out with some links.

For a catcher (or any fielder, imho), it's not all about how fast the radar gun reads, but also how quickly they get rid of the ball (and obviously accuracy has a little to do with the equation).
