How many California Teams are still left at 16U USA/ASA

Since I am not up on the Cali team names, just wondering. I know that there were some upset posters that believed more bids should have went out to Cali and less to the surrounding states of Ky.

There seems to be a good presence of Midwest teams still in the hunt. Maybe to many 16u in Cali are playing Gold, and this could be a down year. Or maybe the midwest and their indoor stadiums are now able to play year around also. Same thing is happening at the 18u nationals.
Must be a down year.

I think alot of the better 16u California teams are actually 2nd year 14's. At least thats what I hear......so they are young

We just got back from 16U. I can say that the California teams looked pretty good to me. I would bet that one wins in the end, and probably sereral in the Top 5 and Top 10. Now this is hard for me to say because I talk alot about California on this board. You guessed it, I am from Texas.

We, from Texas got rocked pretty good. My daughters team played well and won games. I was happy to not get blown out in the end, since 8 of our girls could have played in Midland. We just choose to play up, but I guess that seems to be what everyone is doing.

We ( Texas teams) had to leave it up to the the rest of the country to show well.

California teams are exposed to MANY decent teams, I am not saying that were the only good teams in the U.S but perhaps the people you guys face aren't top of the line teams.
