1 more thing to add to the list of disappointments this last week. We were on the same flight as a Dad and daughter from the Bakersfield Shockwave, they told us that while staying in Odessa at the "Studio 6" motel some thugs were cat calling to the team and generally being foul and perverted towards the girls. This particular Dad who happens to be a prison guard confronted the thug and informed them that these girls were underage and they needed to stop. Well as expected words were exchanged and the Dad ended kicking the crap out of the thug. The thug went back to his room and got "2" buck knives, (1 in each hand). He then attacked the Dad and one other Dad who tried to help. The thug stabbed both Dads in the back as well as in the HEAD! Both Dads ended up spending the night in the hospital getting patched up. Meanwhile the rest of the families picked up and left to go spend the night in the lobby of another seedy hotel down the road. These families had to be police escorted back to the hotel to retrieve thier belongings because the thugs' friends were still there and they were pissed! Holy cow! I guess our crappy hotel doesn't seem as bad now.

The stat I have read is no one who has been executed has committed another crime. I also don't see it as punishment, I see it as defending the public.
