The show is called Roger Waters "The Wall" not Pink Floyd. I thought that would have been obvious to most fans.
I guess I overestimated my audience.

Sid...great screen name..Go see it if you have not. Have a great day.

And by the way, Roger looks great for a guy approaching 70. :D

Widow, you were right the first time. Roger was the one behind "The Wall - Live" in Berlin as well, not Pink Floyd. He had already left Pink Floyd by then and did the Berlin gig because after the 80/81 tour, when asked if he would ever do it again, said only if the Berlin Wall came down.

The real Pink Floyd fans are Roger Waters fans.

Widow- finally some common ground!!!!

The Thin Ice (Waters) 2:28

Momma loves her baby
And daddy loves you too.
And the sea may look warm to you babe
And the sky may look blue
But ooooh Baby
Ooooh baby blue
Oooooh babe.

If you should go skating
On the thin ice of modern life
Dragging behind you the silent reproach
Of a million tear-stained eyes
Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice
Appears under your feet.
You slip out of your depth and out of your mind
With your fear flowing out behind you
As you claw the thin ice.

Sorry, but I pick nits when it comes to Pink Floyd.

Like Sid spelling Syd Barrett incorrectly. You really should ask the mods to fix that for you.

In the above lyric, who was "sunshine?"

Bonus if you don't have to google it. :ugeek:

An Ode to Joe(Longbat)

Brain Damage
(Waters) 3:50

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!"
