Adding top names to coaching staff for recruiting or ?

I saw this on Eteamz and am curious, are they guns for hire or what?

Socal Patriots 16U add USA Elite Toni Mascarenas and Gina Oaks to Coaching Staff


I noticed these ladies as well as other great ones on coaching staff on various teams throughout Southern Cal....are they really on the team or is it just a recruiting tool.

Both. They are great to work a team out, for a fee.

We had them at one of our practices a few years ago and the girls really enjoyed it and they did a great job. Not part of the staff though. They don't show up for games and help with the coaching.

So they are not on staff just guns for hire.....very misleading to post as part of the coaching staff. I noticed last year they were associated with the quicksilver 95 team, picture and all, but were never on the coaching staff.

Not all programs just have hire guns.

On our program we have Courtney Dale and Randi Berg on staff as a pitching coach and hitting coach for the entire program. We are hoping to add Laura Berg on as well. Having program coaches helps coordinate and develop pitchers and hitters from one level to the next.

Timberlake seems more enduring (and endearing, apparently).
