Pitchers softball shoes

Does anyone have a favorite brand of shoe for the gals that are pitchers? We are looking for a good quality shoe. Would appreciate any comments and reviews about different brands.

Ringors. They are the only cleat that can make it more than one weekend with her pitching.

yep. after wearing a hole in the toe of every brand under the sun, my kid has gone with the lighter diamond star ringors with the pitching toe the last 2 seasons...she gets at least 6 months out of a pair...

I would agree with the other posters, Ringors last the longest out of any cleets that my daughter has tried.

My daughter played 20+ games in the fall, 35 games in HS, and 64 games this summer. She is a pitcher and pitched in over a 3rd of those games. Her shoes are good to go for another year. Here is what she wears:

Ringors are too heavy according to my DD. She has been wearing the Adidas turf shoe, amazingly they have held up really well. Now we are trying the Boombahs. I'll keep you updated on how she likes them.

I have a question for anyone, are they allowed to wear turfs in 12u, or just cleats?? and if so, what would be better for infield.

the ringor diamond stars are newer, and much lighter than the old playmakers...and not any heavier than most cleats...

We picked up a pair of the Diamond Star Ringors after eating through a number of other pairs. Those were seeing holes after one weekend the last two seasons, even with poor attempts at patching them even before use. Her first season games are this weekend so we will see how it goes, but I am very impressed with the design and quality of these shoes. I had also heard that the Ringors were heavy, but that it not the case with the Diamond Stars. She likes them so far and we'll see what she (and my pocketbook) think after a couple of games...

What we have found to work the best for a pitcher who can cut through a pair in one tournament....
Find cleats that feel good to her feet. She(my DD) personally likes a midrise football cleat because the shape fits her foot better than the female cut. You can get great sales off season too.
Send it to Tuff Toe located in Orange, CA. They have a website, just google Tuff Toe and find the company. Send the brand new cleat to the company and you will have one come back dipped. My daughters cleats have lasted through high school and a season of summer which ended in OKC at the big finale. You can get a lightweight supportive cleat that fits and have it custom dipped for the area which she drags. We have been extremely pleased with the results.
