All American Friendly last weekend

by newbie69 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:50 pm

First time user. Usually everything is updated on here, but could not find any information on last weekends friendly. So thought I would throw it out there. I saw the schedule and it looked like a lot of teams from 10u thru 14u. How did things shake out? Was it run well? How where the fields?

HUGE friendly!!!!

Lots of top teams in attendance. The park was jumping with activity everywhere. It was great to see a friendly of this size in Nor Cal. The fields looked better then I have ever seen out there. They got a little dry because of the wind but not much you can do about Mother Nature. When I looked at our schedule I thought no way we would get our last 4:40 game in but hats off to to the guy on the little quad they kept the umps rolling and the games on time. our last game went off 3 mins late not bad for the 7th game of the day. My daughters coaching staff was very impressed with the communication and how everything was handled. Would have been nice to see full games instead of drop dead but with that many team it's very understandable why.

Looked like the teams were pretty evenly matched. Got to see some great games during the weekend. 14u Breeze Comets and Grapes looked strong. I thought the 12u Sting Grapes Norwood and Mizuno stone looked pretty good playing 14s. 12u Breeze Heat and Grapes looked like the 3 to beat.

Hats off to All-American best ran friendly we have been in to date. I am sure we will be at the next one.

Anyone know how Central Coast Athletics 14u did this last weekend. Didn't get to watch them play, I think they are from Monterey area. Figured they gotta be pretty descent to make that drive for a friendly.

I agree this was very well ran and very well put together. Schedule was out 3 weeks ago, couple changes after but very well communicated. It's nice to see another group doing tournaments the right way.

The March 31-April 1 tournaments looks like the place to be that weekend for 12u

Mizuno Garcia
RR Gold Miller
Heat Le Gabed
Dirt Dogs
Team Extreme
Mizuno Stone
Cordova Fury
Heat Cota
Mizuno Lep
Foothill Gold Nickel
Mizuno Noe
Rocklin Hype
No Cal Cruisers

14u
Mizuno
Foothill gold
Rampage
Sparks Storm
Socerers

Hey Monday

Here is the direct link to the website so you don't have to go thru the ASA site.

www.all-americantournaments.com

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend. We have received a lot of positive feed back from those who attended. We plan on making this a yearly event. We are also looking into doing just before the Fall season kicks off.

My daughter used to practice out at Bryte here and there when i saw they were holding a friendly out there I was wondering how they were going to play on Concrete??? Those fields in West Sac have NEVER and I mean NEVER looked that good! The City should hire those guys to maintain there softball fields!!! LOL

I agree it was a great friendly. Can't wait for tournaments to start up this weekend :D

Are you trying to start rumors in the Org???  Different Catchers Mom but yes my daughter is a catcher for one of the All American teams. Quite a bit older then Coach Jamie's little one in the photo tho.
