Just cut the meat in strips. about 3/4 inch thick, about 4-5 inches long. and take it from there. have a pan with lard and put it at high flame, them drop it to medium as soon as it it hot enough. put the carne in the pan add salt , black pepper and ground oregano, and a lil garlic salt. and stir, and cook evenly. make sure you have some good corn tortillas, soft and make some killer tacos. make sure you have some hot chuncky salsa mexicana. No canned stuff. I love to cook!!!
JJ, isnt it supposed to be carne asada? I did your recipe last night, the meat that I had available was wild hog, and it came out nice, didnt have garlic salt, but i had some other seasoning that had garlic in it (some stuff we use in making sausage). My wife who doesnt always jump for joy at wild meat, came asking for where my leftovers were. I had some good corn tortillas, used store bought salsa (mango - low sodium - low everything except what comes out of the garden type salsa) on it - was good. Thanks again JJ.
