Holy cow! Talk about a short fuse. My DD plays soccer at HS as well and they have waaay more contact than that without controversy. It looked like she tripped on her own feet, or at worst their feet tangled up. Definitely in need of anger management.

I watched both news reports that came up for this and they are definitely filing charges against the girl.

I know my girls stopped playing many years ago, but my oldest had much worse contact and never went to beat the crap out of any of the girls. Now holding mom back from the ref, that is a totally different story!!! HAHAHA

Article says she was 18 so I wonder if they will follow through with charges.
Just goes to show you that soccer is evil....

Saw some video a couple of days ago that looked identical to his - different style of dress though.
Soccer should be outlawed.

While travel softball seems to have minimal/no disciplinary activities, club and AYSO soccer does. If that kid had been playing travel/AYSO here in SoCal when that happened she would likely have been suspended for at least 1 year (maybe indefinite) and been required to take anger management classes and possibly more.
