Let's just hope to hell America is paying attention here. "NO"BAMA 2012! Add to this his new law for young immigrants caught are not deported! Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you or I break the law, rest assured we will be arrested. Come across the border, and you get a job, insurance, and a free education! WTF!!!

Unfortunately, it seems that Holder and his Boss share the same vision of America that differs from the majority of the rest of us. I guess we will just have to keep "clutching to our god and our guns" and hope that lightening doesn't strike twice.

The "The Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act" reeks of authoritarian "papers-please" type law enforcement techniques much like the failed "War on Drugs" that gave us the DEA, BATF, Operation Fast & Furious and the disgusting "War on Terror" which gave us the USA Patriot act, the TSA, torture and predator drones.

What this well-meaning, self-described patriot in the video doesn't seem to grasp is that there would be no scary mexican drug cartels, black market or underground crime syndicates if drug prohibition ended.
There would be people would be free to exchange goods in accordance with the principles of Self Ownership .

SInce my soul is anti-authoritarian and my idea of living in a TRUE land of the free and home of the brave means something different than living in a land of surveillance and warrantless searches this seems to be a piece of legislation that I cannot get behind.

BW, its the dilemma of legislative morality. It gave us Prohibition and the war on drugs, but it was also the principle behind Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

As for war, well that dates back to the beginning of man. It is, unfortunately, an inherent characteristic of mankind.

I Love Richard Jeni and free tacos!!

The emancipation of the slavery was based on the moral principle of Self-Ownership.
Emancipation is the transfer of a bundle of rights and responsibilities from an owner or custodian to the ward.
What other way is there to explain the evils of slavery unless you accept the moral principle of Self-Ownership.

Drug and alcohol prohibition are the opposite. They are based on the collectivist idea that the "state" or "society" owns you or a portion of you.

So ....
Do you own yourself?
