what a d-bag. guess you've never been through this with a kid or you would know how college coaches work. why do you care which coaches anyway?? the point in all of this is that a few/ONE are trying to strong arm anyone they can. and now they look stupid. i hope all their players parnets find out and give em hell. no overweight, bucket dwelling bullies allowed.

It's been a long time since my last post, but I think everyone should know who the EGCC is... This is an educated guess...

Impact Gold
Peppers
Eclipse
Sudden Impact
Storm (x2)
Power
Magic
MC Elite
Intruders

If the actions of this committee really bothers you, then call up your coach and express your concerns to him. It should be added that at least one of these teams held open practices prior to ASA Nationals. Come on folks, tryout violations is not really the issue.

What really needs to happen is all the Gold coaches in Texas need to gather for a meeting to discuss all issues at hand. It could be held at the Astrodome (finally we have as use for that old venue)! Considering there is 10,000+ gold coaches in Texas. LOL

Then let it be known the teams listed above are the teams banned about 30+ girls from playing this weekend. NOT RIGHT. You should be proud on all the kaos you have caused in the softball community. In my eyes they won because the tournament director let their ego get in their way. Like it was said why blame it on tryouts when they are all as guilty. What is the real truth and who is heading up this group?

Before blasting all of the organizations by name, maybe someone should find out who the teams are rather than one guys opinion of who he thinks they are.

just a thought

What a terrible thing to do to a bunch of kids! This is just like junior high bullying, mean girls ganging up on the different girls but so much worse! Grown men (and woman) ganging up on teenage girls that are trying to play the game they love and hopefully secure a future at the college level! Anyone involved knows it really has nothing to do with illegal recruiting or tryouts because they ALL do it!!! Who do you think you're hurting? The coaches of these 3 teams? Who do you think stands to lose here??? The only ones getting hurt are the girls!

McCorkle named them all on the Impact Gold topic. I still don't get it. Where is all of this about getting the players to the next level, playing softball in college for that great education? I hope all these guys can stop and remind themselves what they are in this game for...and that Beaumont is not the only place to achieve those goals.

This sounds personal between two coaches to me. Two sides to every coin though. I would like to hear from the other side, but that’s not going to happen on the bucket. This is sure getting the views up ;) I would like for the gold label to actually mean something again. I hear it used to be difficult to be a “gold” team. Nowadays teams are gold in all age groups, but that’s another topic. Maybe the new committee can address that next.

Welcome J. Maybe he has come to defend himself as part of the EGCC?

I have not received any members in my new commitee. Course, I don't have as much stroke as ol' KC.

Come on guys or gals.

I didn't say it was my "opinion", I said it was an "educated guess" which means I did have supporting facts and knowledge, but I chose to leave myself a margin for error in case one of the EGCC wanted to hop on the forum and deny their membership. Seems your feelings are hurt MavFan...? Maybe your DD plays for one of the EGCC coaches. You should call your coach and confirm his membership.

You say educated guess, I say opinion

It would not matter if my kid did play for one of the organizations you guessed at.

I just think that there is no reason to call out people that you do not know for sure are involved.

I don't know who is involved, I just think it sucks for the kids on AE, Kaos and Firecrackers.
